Busy Issy (K-5)
The Busy Issy award is an IsPOD tradition honoring K-5 students that exhibit perserverance, academic excellence in health and physical education, willingness to help others, make significant improvement, and are in other ways deserving of special acknowledgement for IsPOD participation. Named after "Issy", the initiative's illustrated depiction of a health and fitness role model, the Busy Issy award is NCAAHPERD's way of saying thank you to students.
Please nominate one male and one female K-5 student per school for this award. He/she will receive a Busy Issy Star of Achievement certificate, along with a t-shirt and a gift certificate for free admission to a health or fitness-oriented experience, such as a karate or dance lesson, climbing wall, or aqautic center.
Nominations must be received by April 20th, 2012!
IsPOD is NCAAHPERD's (North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) flagship initiative in the fight against childhood obesity in North Carolina.

Once FITNESSGRAM becomes available to North Carolina teachers, each physical education teacher will receive an e-mail with their FITNESSGRAM™ username & password, along with a link to access the application.
Please do not send help-desk tickets requesting a username and password until after the FITNESSGRAM™ program has launched in September.
